1. Contest Formation

A Loot League contest is formed when two participants accept the contest terms. The contest terms include the game, format, platform, rules, entry amount, and scheduling. Once accepted, the terms are recorded and cannot be unilaterally changed.

2. Eligibility

Participants must meet eligibility requirements including age, identity verification, jurisdiction, and account status. Monetary contests require additional eligibility checks performed within the application before participation.

3. Skill-Based Format

All Loot League contests are skill-based. The outcome must depend on player skill, not chance. Games of chance are not permitted. Loot League does not facilitate casino-style, lottery, or gambling activities.

4. Contest Terms

Each contest includes standardized terms that both participants review and accept before play begins. Terms include:

  • Game and game mode
  • Platform and console variant
  • Match format (e.g., head-to-head, best-of)
  • Entry amount (where permitted)
  • Scheduling (play now or scheduled)
  • Rules snapshot
  • Server or region (if applicable)

5. Fund Commitment

Where legally permitted, eligible participants commit entry funds to a contest. Funds are held securely in escrow until the contest is settled. Participants cannot withdraw funds committed to an active contest.

6. Result Reporting

Both participants must report the contest result after play. Results options include Won, Lost, Void, or Problem.

  • If both reports match, the contest settles automatically
  • If reports conflict, the contest enters dispute review
  • Void requires both participants to agree
  • Problem initiates a structured dispute process

7. Settlement

Contest settlement depends on result reports:

  • Matching Won/Lost reports: winner receives the contest amount
  • Both report Void: funds refunded to both participants
  • Conflicting reports: dispute review by Loot League admin
  • Admin decisions may include awarding winnings, refunding, or voiding

8. Disputes

Disputes arise when participants report conflicting results. The dispute process uses contest records, timelines, and available evidence. Held funds remain secure during review. Dispute outcomes are final.

9. Forfeiture

Participants who fail to appear for a scheduled contest, fail to report results, or otherwise fail to fulfill contest obligations may be subject to forfeiture. Forfeiture terms are included in the contest creation flow.

10. Prohibited Conduct

Collusion, match-fixing, result falsification, account sharing, and any form of cheating are strictly prohibited. Violations may result in contest voiding, fund forfeiture, account suspension, and permanent exclusion.

11. Modifications

Loot League may update contest rules from time to time. Active contests are governed by the rules in effect at the time of contest acceptance, as recorded in the contest terms snapshot.
